Dr Bryson Leo

Dr Bryson Leo, the driving force behind GetVet Veterinary Services, is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for accessible pet care to the community. In addition to his role as the founder and operator of GetVet, Dr Bryson also serves as a senior veterinarian at Wooloowin Animal Hospital. Having worked in a clinical setting, he recognised a pressing need within the pet-owning community. From juggling work to parenting, many pet owners often found it challenging to accommodate traditional vet clinic hours. Most clinics close after 7pm and do not operate on weekends. These constraints often forced clients to take time off work or resort to paying expensive after-hours fees at emergency services for issues that could have been addressed by a GP veterinarian. This realisation inspired him to establish GetVet. His vision is simple: to provide accessible, high-quality pet care that suits the modern, fast-paced lifestyle.

Dr Bryson is a graduate of The University of Queensland, where he obtained a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons). His strong work ethic is complemented by a commitment to providing cost-effective and practical solutions for his clients and their beloved pets. He understands the importance of tailoring treatments to meet the unique needs of both the pet and the owner.

With a strong inclination toward veterinary internal medicine and consultations, Dr Bryson is a perpetual learner, constantly exploring and adopting novel veterinary techniques to enhance the care he provides. He has completed numerous clinical placements at various veterinary hospitals and clinics throughout Queensland.

His journey to becoming a small animal veterinarian was paved with diverse experiences. Prior to his veterinary career, he served in the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps as a medic (EMT) and CPR instructor. He also worked as a freelance photographer/videographer, veterinary technician, research intern at the Saint Louis Zoo (Missouri, USA) and volunteered at Wildlife Reserves Singapore.
